Swedish Pavilion – Nature at the core

The pavilion will reflect the meeting between city and nature and the optimism and strength that can be created where they come together.

The pavilion comprises four cube-like structures that are arranged to form a cross-like space between them — a shape much like Sweden's flag when seen from above. The outside walls show a city-like grid; the inside walls are covered with images of nature. These cubes are connected by elevated walkways, and house the exhibition, VIP areas, a shop, a café, and a large covered courtyard — room enough for everyone !

The exhibition will, in an eye-catching way that is sensitive to changing trends, present communication between people, authorities and the local environment as the basis of an open and harmonious community. It will also present the innovative and sustainable nature of Swedish companies, regions and organizations. At the heart of the exhibition will be the concept of the family and “the good life”.

The Swedish exhibition will glow with creativity and encourage interaction and reflection. The idea is to give the visitor an “aha” experience and help trigger thought and discussion on the messages communicated in the exhibition. The exhibition is designed with Chinese visitors in mind.
