Lithuania – Blossoming City

Lithuania will rent a 2000 sq. m. pavilion in the European zone (European Joint Pavilion). It will propose a visit in balloon over the country introducing its landscape and economics features. The contents will also stress Vilnius, which was in 2009 the European Capital of Culture, as a center for culture, trade and eco-friendly polices in the Baltic region (More information about European Capital of Culture here). Another highlight will be the presentation of Lithuanian NBA Stars, as Basketball (and the US league) is very very popular around China.

Lithuania’s progress in recent years has been outstanding in less than 15 years, going from Soviet Split to European Union. This progress has been reflected in their development at Expos. First they barely made it to the improvised Baltic Pavilion in Seville ‘92. Then, For Hanover 2000, Moldovia built their own pavilion, a bright yellow building with interesting exhibits. They were also present in both, Aichi and Zaragoza.
